Our philosophy

Stillness is not the absence of movement. It is movement, fully attended to.

We started Stillwater because the city moves fast and the mind moves faster. Here, the pace is deliberate. We teach in small groups so no one is left behind, we light the room with morning sun rather than fluorescent strips, and we believe rest is as productive as effort. Whether you arrive to build strength, ease an aching back, or simply to breathe, you are welcome exactly as you are.

I have never done yoga or pilates before. Where do I start?

Our Beginner classes and Slow Flow Vinyasa are the gentlest places to begin. Arrive ten minutes early, tell your teacher it is your first time, and they will guide you through every pose. Mats and props are provided.

Do I need to book in advance?

We recommend booking ahead as classes are kept intentionally small. You can reserve any class from the timetable on this site, or drop in if there is space.

What should I bring?

Just comfortable clothing and a water bottle. We provide mats, blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets, plus showers and changing rooms on site.

Can I freeze or cancel my membership?

Yes. Memberships are rolling with no long contracts. You can freeze for up to eight weeks a year, or cancel any time with 30 days' notice.
